Thought I'd drop in and say hello, let people know what I'm up to, what I'm writing.
Leaving aside the normal 'real life ' stuff (including the fact I'm back to taking exams at 50) I'll let you know what I'm working on.
I sense that I'm on the way out of HP fanfic, but I don't think I'm alone in that. The last thing I published - The Day That Ginny Weasley Came To Stay - received some very hostile feedback including accusations of it being misogynistic and seemed to indicate that what I have to offer doesn't fit the mood.
I have a lot of unfinished stuff - most unpublished- but the two main stories are Twelve Months and Sins.
I had a plan last year to revisit 12M and remove some of the errors and inconsistencies and even worked on a few chapters but that didn't continue. I still get the odd email asking if I'm going to continue or not. Sad to say I'm not, but the possibility of a one shot set in the summer of 2000 is still a possibility.
Sins has always been a difficult fic; undoubtedly loved by those that follow it, but ignored or even hated by others. Unfortunately I cocked up my backup when doing a complete reinstall of Windows on my PC and missed the file that include a lot of fanfic stuff. I have a version of the file on my Mac so I didn't lose everything, but I lost my detailed outline which is a real blow given the very convoluted ending of the story.
I've been trying to write original fiction for the best part of two years and apart from a very dodgy 50k for Nanorimo in 2010 nothing has really taken off.
My current project has been approached in a different manner. I've been working on a detailed outline, scene by scene writing down the story as it flows through my head. I'm near the end of it now and in the break between my exams I hope finish it and then start to work on the actual story.

Cheers!
I love your writing, and do want you to finish Sins and 12M - but I will understand if you do not.
I don't remember "The Day Ginny Weasley Came to Stay" - I moved in November and my laptop crashed shortly thereafter. I'm going to go find it and read (re-read?) it!
All the best to you!

The plan is to finish Sins, although I never intended for it to drag on this long and perhaps I'll think again about the one-shot that was going to wrap up 12M.
