Anyone know what happened to the author. Mr. Dan seems to have dropped off the proverbial internet on all the sites that I could mind around the same day, August 31st 2008.
I loved his story Soul nexus... Anyone know anything?
Normal for people to give up projects but not to log on or even say stories have been abandoned.

I'm not sure but the author did disappear for a while then updated last August. I do hope that the author comes back as I too love that story, and it just started to get the point where things can really develop.
I'm the beta, or perhaps was the beta, for Soul Nexus. I actually spoke with him just yesterday, and am sad to report that Soul Nexus is on semi-permanent hiatus.
He mentioned he has some smaller, more individualized HP stories he's been toying around with, but nothing close to publishing yet. I haven't given up on convincing him to go back to SN, but everyone is busy and it was certainly no minor amount of work that he was putting into it when the updates were coming quickly.

Well... I'm the last person who should complain about slow updates. ;-)
Sometimes you get hit with RL events that override your fictional ones. I believe Dan is a college student. I dimly recall being completely wrapped up in my studies and can not imagine having time to write anything beyond class required papers.
I also enjoy Soul Nexus. It is the only Bond type story I know of where Harry, and Ginny to some extent, do not accept what has happened to them. Harry particulary fought it at first. The progression of the characters in light of the evolving bond is well done.
What the heck, cts just updated after, what? several years? Have faith and patience my young padawan.
Much obliged, though I was a bit worried more along the lines of if he was alive or not. Seemed odd that just one day he's there the next is not... But I have hope for the future so. Thanks for the info.

There's something odd going on there. SIYE has just been updated, with the addition of Chapter 36.
His site seems to indicate that Chapter 37 was posted there in September 2008 ( http://cts.dragon.com/reign/index.html ) and he's just posted that to "Wizard Tales".
Actually, if you look at his list of sites, the only place he claims to have posted all the chapters in on his own site ( http://cts.dragon.com/reign/story.html ) although it would seem that he's behind on that, since "Wizard Tales" has all 38 chapters (prologue + 37) and he hasn't recorded that.
